School Day Excursions

  • Only 50km from Johannesburg, Vereeniging and Potchefstroom
  • A petting zoo on a working highveld farm.
  • Ideal for school group excursions – weekdays by appointment only (minimum of 50 pupils – aged 2 to 18 years – accompanied by own teachers/parents/supervisor (ratio 2/25)
  • Poultry includes ducks, chickens, geese, guinea fowl and ostriches.
  • Other animals on the farm: Horses, donkeys, goats and bunnies.
  • Lectures on various farm animals including cows, goats, sheep and pigs.
  • Feeding of animals allowed.
  • We have junior and senior playground facilities and jumping castles.
  • We have kiddie party packages available – booking essential (Kids + parents minimum 50 per group)
  • We are open to the public on Saturdays and Public Holidays per appointment from 9 am to 3 pm. Only Group Bookings 30 persons minimum
  • Closed on Sundays, Easter and Christmas day.

Hereby an invitation to book your school for an interesting day visit where kids can learn, play and have fun on a real working highveld farm where we have a petting zoo with 30 different birds and animals.

Daily program:

  • Arrivals 8 am
  • Program starts at 9 am
  • Departures 3 pm

(or as agreed upon by request)

Packages available:

Entrance fee R70 per pupil

Teachers entry is free and includes a cup of coffee.

Select your own package:
  1. Entrance fee R70 per pupil (Compulsory)
  2. Animal feed (Packet of mealies) R10
  3. Ice cream R10
  4. Cold drink R10
  5. Hotdog R20

Please take note all pupils have to take the same combination package (for example  1+2+4 =  R90 per pupil)

Rules:

  • Own lunchbox is permitted
  • Alcohol is allowed by pre-arrangement)
  • Braai facilities available. Bring your own wood/charcoal.
  • Smoking at designated areas only.
